Whether your stay is because you are visiting friends or relatives, attending a wedding or just taking a break from your normal daily schedule, there is plenty of things to do in the area.

For the rugby and football fans, we are located just a few miles away from the Millennium Stadium. During your stay we can recommend various local shops, country walks, golf courses and restaurants. Indeed, the local village public house "The Red Lion" serves a delicious cuisine and is highly recommended!

Cottrell Park Golf Course offers 2 full 18 hole courses and is open to paying non members. There are places for coarse fishing and some very scenic and peaceful country walks right on our doorstep.

Whilst staying at Shepherds Lodge you will have your own key and therefore unrestricted access, so if you are out and about until late there is no problem with doors being locked. We are just 15 minutes drive away from Cardiff City Centre, and 10 minutes drive from the market town of Cowbridge. The beautiful Dyffryn Gardens is just a few minutes away, as are the local village shop, public house and bus stop.
